Job Description

The Head of Procurement is responsible for building and leading a high performance procurement and vendor management function that supports the company’s operational, financial, and regulatory objectives. This role oversees the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, commercial negotiations, vendor selection, contract lifecycle management, and ongoing vendor performance. The Head of Procurement plays a central role in optimizing company spend and improving transparency and governance.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Governance: Develop the procurement strategy, policies, and governance. Report on spend, vendor performance, and KPIs, meeting regulated financial services standards.
• Sourcing & Vendor Management: Lead strategic sourcing (RFPs) across all categories. Own commercial negotiations (pricing, terms, SLAs) and manage the full contract lifecycle.
• Financial Optimization: Drive cost savings via consolidation, competitive sourcing, and renegotiation. Partner with Finance on budgeting, spend forecasting, and optimization reviews.
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P): Own the procurement workstream for the ERP (Zip/NetSuite) implementation, defining requirements for scalable workflows.
• Legal Collaboration: Partner with Legal on contracting workflows, leading commercial and financial negotiation.
• Risk & Compliance: Maintain vendor database/contract repository. Partner with Security, Legal, and IT for third-party compliance and support ISO certification readiness.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two, fostering operational excellence in a high-growth environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience leading procurement or strategic sourcing in a SaaS, technology, or similar high growth environment.
• Expertise in commercial negotiation across software, cloud services, professional services, outsourcing, and hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to reduce spend, consolidate vendors, and drive commercial value.
• Strong experience designing and scaling procurement processes, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Proven collaboration with Legal and Finance on contracting, compliance, and financial controls
• Direct experience owning procurement workstreams in ERP implementations, preferably Zip and NetSuite.
• Ability to operate with accuracy, attention to detail, and discipline in a regulated setting.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Fintech or financial services experience, or experience supporting enterprise customers with strict compliance requirements - Advantage
• Familiarity with ISO standards relevant to procurement, security, and privacy - Advantage
• Strong analytical skills in spend analysis, forecasting, and vendor performance management - Advantage
• Experience negotiating enterprise level SaaS agreements and managing complex vendor ecosystems - Advantage
