Tax Manager - Israel

Responsibilities
About the Team:
The EMEA Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax and solve tax-related issues.

Position Summary:
TikTok is seeking an experienced Tax Manager in Tel Aviv who will become an integral part of our global Tax Department. In this role, you will be responsible for tax matters in Israel, including but not limited to corporate income tax compliance, indirect tax compliance, tax planning, and tax audit, etc. The Tax Manager will face countless challenges and will have plenty of learning and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation and lodgement of local tax filings, including Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax and Withholding Tax returns to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Maintain tax records properly.
- Provide support to accounting teams regarding tax entries and reconciliation of tax-related general ledger accounts.
- Manage tax authorities' inquiries.
- Assist business partners with tax issues timely.
- Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, regulations and judicial decisions that impact the company operations and financial positions.
- Take responsibility for tax-related strategies, challenges, and compliance.
- Provide support for ad hoc tax matters, i.e. tax and business projects.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of related experience in a large MNC and/or a large professional consultancy firm with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation.
- Solid local tax knowledge and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Fluent in Hebrew and professional English languages for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders based in Israel.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in high-growth, innovation-driven organizations is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and tax reporting.
