Senior Backend Tech Lead.

One of our clients, , is looking to hire a Senior Backend Tech Lead.

This is a backend-focused leadership role within a global technology company operating large-scale, real-time data platforms.

The company builds complex backend systems that process massive volumes of data daily and power data-driven, personalized digital experiences at scale.

As a Senior Backend Tech Lead, you will lead the design and development of high-throughput distributed backend services while maintaining hands-on involvement in the code.

You will have end-to-end ownership of core systems and play a central role in technical leadership, including architectural decision-making, setting engineering standards, mentoring senior engineers, and driving best practices across the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend software development using Java or a similar object-oriented language
• Proven experience designing and leading large-scale distributed backend systems
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and system design
• Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership or Tech Lead role, including architecture ownership and mentoring
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• High proficiency in Linux-based environments
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with big data technologies is an advantage
• Knowledge of algorithms, data mining, or machine learning is a plus
