Head of mechanical development and flow technologies

We are looking for a senior engineer to lead all flow, aerodynamics, and CFD-related technologies across the company, from core R&D to customer-facing support.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead all flow-related technologies across existing products and new developments.
• Take ownership of the company’s core technology, including aeromechanical databases and accumulated know-how.
• Serve as the professional focal point for flow topics across mechanical/aeromechanical R&D, sales, manufacturing, and operations.
• Provide fast, high-level technical support to customers and internal teams on flow and development challenges.
• Lead research, development, and laboratory activities, supporting a mechanical/aeromechanical team of engineers.
• Initiate innovative concepts to solve customer challenges in collaboration with sales.
• Design and establish development and testing systems, including measurement protocols, data processing, analysis, and presentation.
• Own the company’s IP domain: patent portfolio management, new patent registration, IP protection strategy, and trade-secret culture.
• Drive technological innovation and lead the development of new products and solutions.
• Continuously track competing technologies and relevant industry trends.

🎓 Requirements

• M.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering OR aerospace with specialization in fluid flow (PhD – strong advantage).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong physics and engineering intuition with the ability to analyze complex engineering problems.
• High proficiency in data processing, results analysis, and drawing actionable conclusions.
• Hands-on experience in applied research, laboratory work, and analytical tools, with deep knowledge of CFD and flow analysis (ANSYS, Fluent).
• Broad system-level understanding and experience leading multidisciplinary development efforts.
• Willingness to travel abroad as part of the role.
• High-level English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Team player with strong communication skills and experience working across diverse internal and external interfaces.
