Location: Tel Aviv (Menachem Begin) | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

We’re a well-funded, early-stage FinTech startup building a high-impact technological product from the ground up for the investment world.

This is a core, high-ownership role for a true senior backend engineer who wants to design, build, and lead the backend architecture of a real product - not just implement tickets. You’ll be one of the first engineers in the company, with a direct influence on architecture, technical direction, and product decisions.

What you’ll do:

Lead the design and development of the platform’s core backend systems from scratch, end to end.

Build a real-time system for financial market data analysis, operational workflows, and investment decision support.

Design and implement scalable Big Data pipelines and data infrastructure for financial research and analytics.

Architect, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance.

Own backend architecture decisions and set engineering best practices as the product evolves.

What we’re looking for?

6+ years of experience as a backend engineer, with clear ownership of complex systems.

Proven experience building production systems from scratch in startup or greenfield environments.

Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Deep knowledge of backend fundamentals: system design, APIs, microservices, and relational / NoSQL databases.

Experience with real-time or high-throughput systems - a strong advantage.

Experience with Big Data platforms or large-scale data processing - a strong advantage.

Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.
