SW&IT field support engineer

Software and IT Field Support Engineer providing technical support with strong focus on system-level software behavior, installations, configurations and customer-side software validation for complex semiconductor systems.

This role focuses on system-level software behavior and configuration and does not involve software development or code-level testing.

You will

• Provide IT and software support, both on-site and remotely, for multidisciplinary systems.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex, chronic and escalated software issues until full closure.
• Perform hands-on diagnostics and root cause analysis on development and customer systems.
• Manage customer software & IT related requests and escalations
• Validate software behavior from end-user perspective, including installations, configurations, UI behavior and system outputs.
• Contribute field-driven input to software development and improvement processes.
• Visit global customers for software escalations or system upgrades
• Participate in server and computing environment definitions together with global development teams.
• Create and maintain software-related knowledge content for field teams, including presentations, procedures and training courses.

You have

• Proven technical background in software/ IT/ electrical /mechanical or a related discipline - Must
• 2+ years of experience in system-level software testing, field service or technical support - Must
• Strong computer and configuration orientation - Must
• High proficiency in English - Must
• Willingness to work non-standard hours (global time) & travel for on site support (up to 30% travel) – Must
• Experience with multidisciplinary system - Advantage
• Scripting or automation experience (Python or similar) - Advantage
• IT infrastructure knowledge (networks, OS, DB, hardware) - Advantage
