DFIR Specialist (Freelance / Hourly)
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on DFIR Investigator for on-call, hourly projects. You will be responsible for technical investigation and containment of security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Incident Response: Execute containment and eradication tasks during active breaches.
- Digital Forensics: Analyze host artifacts, memory, and logs (Windows/Linux/Cloud).
- Evidence Collection: Perform forensic imaging and data preservation.
- Summary Reporting: Provide technical findings and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in DFIR or high-level SOC investigation.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency with EDRs (Elastic EDR, Sentinel, CrowdStrike), forensic tools (KAPE, Velociraptor, Autopsy), and SIEM logs.
- Analysis: Strong ability to track lateral movement and persistence mechanisms.
- Availability: Ready to jump on urgent tasks on an hourly basis.
