A global growing fintech company is looking for a Production Lead / Director (Microservices & DevOps)

A hands-on Production Lead with a very strong engineering background in microservices and deep DevOps expertise in high-scale online production environments. This role is for someone who thrives under extreme uptime requirements, owns production end-to-end, and can lead by doing — from architecture and code to Kubernetes and incident management

What you’ll do

• Own the production domain: reliability, availability, performance, scaling, and operational excellence.

• Lead and improve production readiness across engineering teams (services, infra, tooling, CI/CD).

• Design, build, and maintain high-end infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.

• Drive SRE/DevOps best practices: observability, alerting, automation, runbooks, postmortems, and prevention.

• Be a key leader during incidents: triage, mitigation, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation.

• Improve deployment strategies (blue/green, canary), release safety, and rollback mechanisms.

• Optimize cost/performance and capacity planning for always-on systems.

What we’re looking for

• Strong development background (not only ops) — proven experience building and supporting microservices in production.

• Significant experience in DevOps / Production Engineering / SRE roles in high-traffic, real-time online systems.

• Deep expertise with: o AWS (networking, compute, storage, managed services)

o Kubernetes (production clusters, deployments, autoscaling, networking, security)

o CI/CD pipelines and automation o Observability (metrics/logs/traces), incident response processes

• Strong understanding of distributed systems: latency, bottlenecks, resilience patterns, fault tolerance, and high availability.

• Ability to lead cross-team production efforts and set high operational standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments/fintech or other regulated/high-risk production environments.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi/CloudFormation).

• Service mesh / advanced networking (e.g., Istio/Linkerd), secrets management, zero-trust patterns.

• Hands-on experience with chaos testing, load testing, performance engineering.
