Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Sr Tech Writer to work on the Cortex Engineering Team, doing technical documentation for the industry's first extended detection and response platform (XSIAM, Cloud, XDR, XSOAR, and XPANSE). This position will report to the Documentation Manager and is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast-growing company in a truly international environment.

Location - Israel, Tel Aviv-Yafo [Hybrid] 3 X

Your Impact

This position calls for someone who possesses a strong Technical Writing and AI-enhanced content strategy background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter who views AI methodology as key to their success, leveraging modern tools to accelerate content velocity and improve accuracy. You are expected to be an early adopter, integrating AI workflows to streamline the documentation lifecycle in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Develop high-quality content and workflows that enable users to successfully deploy and use Cortex products.
• Integrate AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to draft, refine, and optimize technical documentation and microcopy.
• Document how customers can best adopt and use new security features in their security operations centers (SOC).
• Organize large amounts of technical details into topics that users can easily find to solve security problems.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and PMs to gather information while using AI to synthesize complex technical specifications into user-friendly guides.
• Create in-app help, onboarding tutorials, use case examples, and best practices guides.

Your Experience

• AI & Automation: Proven experience integrating AI tools/methodologies into the writing process (e.g., prompt engineering for content generation, AI-driven editing, or automated workflow scripts).
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of cloud security or SOC platforms; familiar with public/hybrid cloud deployments.
• Authoring Tools: Proficient with DITA and XML authoring and managing documentation as code.
• Collaboration Tools: Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and build tools.
• Content Strategy: Ability to see the big picture and write concepts from scratch while maintaining a consistent "voice" via AI-assisted style guides.
• Soft Skills: A proactive approach to learning new technologies and a "hands-on" curiosity for how products work.

Education

BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
