Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a DevOps Engineer at one of our customer's in Ramat Gan. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as managing Linux systems in an on-premise production environment, setting up and operating PHP-FPM, APACHE, and NGINX systems.

Core Technical Requirements

1. Containerization & Serverless Compute - Amazon ECS & AWS Fargate
2. Amazon EC2: Management of specialized compute workloads, including custom AMI creation and lifecycle management via Systems Manager (SSM).
3. Docker: Advanced image optimization, multi-stage builds, and secure image scanning.
4. Redis Cloud / ElastiCache: Architecture and management of Redis for real-time data processing.
5. Amazon RDS: High-level management of relational databases.
6. Advantage: Deep knowledge of RDS for SQL Server, including Multi-AZ high availability and performance monitoring.
7. VPC Architecture.
8. Traffic Management: Configuration of Application Load Balancers (ALB) and Route 53 for intelligent traffic routing.
9. Security & Identity: Implementation of Principle of Least Privilege using IAM Roles/Policies, AWS Secrets Manager, and AWS Certificate Manager (ACM).
10. Provisioning: 100% automation of infrastructure using Terraform.
11. Deployment Pipelines: Engineering end-to-end CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience strictly in an AWS DevOps environment.
• Linux Mastery: Expert-level administration of Amazon Linux 2023 or Ubuntu Server.
• Application Knowledge: Solid understanding of the PHP-FPM/NGINX execution model within containers.
• Understanding of Docker environments.
• Cloud architecture (management of FW, various types of AD).
• Use of Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS).
• Understanding and ability to maintain CI/CD pipelines.
