Cloud FinOps Team Lead

We’re looking for a hands-on FinOps team leader with a strong background in cloud cost management and financial operations. The role combines technical depth, financial analytics, and strategic collaboration with internal teams and SMB & enterprise clients to help drive efficiency and innovation across multiple cloud platforms.

As the FinOps Team Leader, you will shape cloud financial strategies, develop automation frameworks, and guide best practices for optimizing spend, increasing visibility, and enabling smarter decision-making within complex, high-scale environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end cloud financial operations, ensuring cost control and financial transparency across multi-cloud infrastructures.
• Partner with engineering, product, finance, and leadership teams to develop scalable optimization strategies and governance frameworks.
• Analyze usage patterns, financial reports, and architectural decisions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, presenting data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
• Design and implement FinOps processes, automation tools, and ongoing performance improvements.
• Translate cloud and financial data into meaningful business insights accessible to technical and non-technical audiences alike.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on FinOps or cloud cost management experience in large-scale environments.
• Strong familiarity with leading cloud ecosystems (AWS, GCP,Azure) and their native monitoring or cost optimization tools.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture and usage economics, balancing scalability, performance, and efficiency.
• Demonstrated ownership and execution of cost optimization programs or FinOps projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business functions.
• Experience using analytics and FinOps platforms (e.g., CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Billing tools).
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment managing multiple priorities.
