Application Engineer

We are looking for an Applications Engineer to join the CAD team within the Engineering Information Systems Department.

The role combines in-depth engineering knowledge in mechanical design and manufacturing with leadership of software projects, implementation of CAD systems and CAD data management, ongoing work with users in Israel and abroad, and training and support for complex systems.

Job Description

• Defining software solutions for design, manufacturing, and CAD data management processes (CAD / PDM / PLM).
• Leading end-to-end software projects – requirements gathering, user needs analysis, and solution implementation.
• Writing functional and technical specification documents.
• Writing test plans and performing testing on CAD systems.
• Implementing CAD systems or parts of them for end users.
• Preparing training materials and user documentation.
• Conducting in-person and remote training sessions for engineers and technologists.
• Administration of CAD systems – system configuration, installations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Ongoing work with multiple interfaces: manufacturing, IT, project managers, and stakeholders in Israel and abroad.
• Travel abroad for system implementation and user support.

Job Requirements

• Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineer – mandatory.
• Strong orientation toward information systems and computers – mandatory.
• Experience in mechanical design and manufacturing – significant advantage.
• Experience working with CAD systems.
• Experience as a manufacturing technologist and knowledge of CNC programming – advantage.
• Experience in improving and optimizing design-to-manufacturing processes – advantage.
• High-level technical English – mandatory.
