A postdoctoral position is available for application at the Laboratory for Flow Imaging and Diagnostics (sites.gtiit.edu.cn/cligroup), at Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT). Our lab is at the forefront of developing and applying advanced flow diagnostics tools/platforms, focusing on fundamental flow physics with strong links to energy and environmental applications.
Supported by a newly awarded five-year grant, this project will establish a physics-based understanding of how contaminants/surfactants regulate bubble-cap drainage, thinning, and rupture, spanning single-bubble to bubble-population dynamics. We will quantify how contaminant properties, bubble rise height/ageing history, and hydrodynamic conditions shape rupture initiation and modes, including multi-hole rupture and collective bursting, and how these mechanisms govern aerosol production (number, size and ejection velocity).
About the University:
Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) is a prestigious Sino-foreign educational institution formed in collaboration between Shantou University and the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, a globally renowned university. Located in Shantou, Guangdong province, China, GTIIT was formally established in December 2016 under the approval of China's Ministry of Education. The institute is committed to excellence in education, innovation, and groundbreaking research in science and technology. The university's mission is to become a leading technological institution in China while fostering global innovation and entrepreneurship.
