Backend Developer (Python/SQL, fin apps)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and SQL to design, build, and maintain scalable backend/data ingestion systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for server-side logic, database development/enhancements to deliver reliable, high-quality applications—particularly in financial or data-driven domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
• Build and optimize relational databases using SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks)
• Solid experience with SQL and relational database design
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend architecture
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Ability to write efficient queries and optimize database performance
• Knowledge of C# is a plus
• Interest or experience in financial applications, fintech, or trading systems
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM)
