What You’ll Do

• Product Strategy & Vision
• Bold Vision: Define and communicate a bold product roadmap that aligns with Mend’s mission to move from "vulnerability detection" to AI-driven autonomous remediation.
• Market Anticipation: Stay ahead of shifts in the cybersecurity landscape (SAST, SCA, Supply Chain Security) and AI trends to ensure Mend remains the industry gold standard.
• AI Transformation: Lead the evolution of our platform into an AI-native intelligence engine, securing both traditional code and the emerging AI software stack.
• Roadmap & Operational Excellence
• Execution: Collaborate with Engineering and GTM teams to prioritize and deliver a high-impact roadmap, balancing rapid innovation with enterprise-grade stability.
• Metrics-Driven: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on adoption metrics, and overall customer security posture improvement.
• Lifecycle Management: Own the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including pricing, positioning, and strategic end-of-life decisions.
• Strategic Leadership
• Team Scaling: Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class team of Product Directors and Managers, cultivating a high-performing, customer-centric culture.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as a "leader of leaders," inspiring ownership and collaboration across R&D, Sales, and Marketing to drive ARR growth and market leadership.
• Customer & Market Insights
• CISO Engagement: Maintain a deep understanding of enterprise security challenges through direct engagement with Fortune 500 CISOs and security architects.
• Feedback Loop: Partner with Customer Success and Sales to translate field feedback into actionable product enhancements.
  
  

• Executive Experience: 10+ years in Product Management, with a proven track record as a VP or EVP in a high-growth B2B SaaS cybersecurity company.
• AppSec Core: Deep technical proficiency in Application Security. You should understand the nuances of the SDLC, DevSecOps, and the challenges of managing risk in complex software supply chains.
• AI Proficiency: A strong understanding of AI-driven solutions, including LLM security, automated code remediation, and the application of machine learning to reduce security "noise."
• Cloud-Native Depth: Familiarity with modern cloud-native architectures, container security, and serverless environments.
• The "Mend" Mindset: A rare blend of technical depth and commercial acumen; able to debate architecture with the EVP R&D and value-propositions with the CRO.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a significant plus.
