Backup Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Backup Specialist to join a large and complex enterprise organization.

This role involves full ownership of critical backup infrastructures, ensuring high availability, and real-time recovery of mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of advanced Backup & Recovery solutions, perform upgrades and optimizations, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive strategic backup-related projects.

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise Backup & Recovery solutions
• Work with leading backup platforms such as Commvault, Veeam, and/or Veritas NetBackup
• Define and implement backup & recovery policies for critical environments, including:
• Manage and support storage environments (SAN / NAS / Cloud) and system integrations
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and real-time critical data recovery
• Lead upgrades, migrations, and optimization of existing backup infrastructures
• Create technical documentation, procedures, and architectural diagrams

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing backup systems in large enterprises – Mandatory
• Proven experience with Commvault and/or Veeam and/or Veritas NetBackup – Mandatory
• Experience backing up and restoring virtual environments (VMware / Hyper-V) and databases (SQL / Oracle) – Mandatory
• Strong knowledge of storage systems and SAN/NAS protocols – Mandatory
• Experience working with Windows and Linux in multi-server environments
• Active security clearance – Mandatory
