Data Engineer

A high-growth Cyber Security startup specializing in defensive platforms for SaaS application security. The company has developed an innovative solution that enables large-scale organizations to secure and govern their distributed SaaS environments.

Currently numbering approximately 100 employees and experiencing significant expansion, the firm is backed by top-tier investors and serves a global client base.

Located in Tel Aviv (prime access to a train station), the company operates a hybrid work model (one day per week from home).

Role Overview:

• Joining a core engineering team responsible for the architectural design and implementation of the company’s Data Infrastructure.
• Building and scaling high-performance data pipelines to support real-time threat detection and security analytics.
• Designing and maintaining Data Lakes / Data Warehousing solutions to handle massive volumes of security-related data.
• Working with a modern, high-scale data stack including Spark, Kafka, Athena, and Airflow.
• Leveraging AWS Glue, DBT, and SQL to ensure data quality and accessibility for the company's AI and research teams.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer – Mandatory.
• Proven experience in building and scaling Data Infrastructure from the ground up – Mandatory.
• Deep hands-on experience with Data Lake architectures or Data Warehousing (DWH) – Mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL – Mandatory.
• Significant experience developing within Cloud environments (AWS preferred) – Mandatory.
• Experience with Big Data tools such as Spark or streaming technologies like Kafka – Mandatory.
• Background in Cyber Security or high-scale SaaS products – A significant advantage.
