Materials / Process Engineer – Advanced Ceramics & Protection Systems (R&D & Manufacturing)

Full-time | Northern Israel (near Karmiel)

A leading industrial technology company in Northern Israel, specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced ceramic and composite materials for high-performance protection applications (defense and civilian), is looking for a Materials / Process Engineer to join its engineering team.

This is a hands-on role with real product impact, combining development, process optimization, and close work with manufacturing – from early-stage engineering through stable serial production.

What You’ll Do

• Lead engineering activities for advanced ceramic and composite materials
• Develop, improve, and stabilize manufacturing processes (Process Engineering)
• Work with powder-based materials, pressing, sintering, and high-temperature processes
• Support mold/tool design and provide ongoing engineering support to the production floor
• Transfer processes from development to production (NPI) and drive implementation
• Investigate process issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams: production, quality, R&D, procurement, and suppliers

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (with materials/process focus) – required
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering – required
• Hands-on experience in industrial environments and production-floor support
• Experience with solid materials, powder processing, thermal or high-temperature processes – strong advantage
• Experience in NPI or scale-up from development to production – advantage
• High level of English
• Independent, hands-on, and system-oriented mindset

• Metals, powder metallurgy, casting, or heat treatment
• Glass, refractories, or other high-temperature material industries
