Mobile Engineer

Located in Central Tel Aviv (prime access to the train station), the company operates a hybrid work model (two days per week from home).

Role Overview:

• Joining a highly autonomous Product Squad (formerly a specialized startup) to lead the development of a mission-critical mobile application.
• The role involves the end-to-end development, maintenance, and scaling of complex native mobile solutions used by field teams and project managers in real-time environments.
• Collaborating directly with the technical leadership to implement advanced architecture patterns.
• Integrating mobile software with on-site hardware and managing cloud-based backend functions.
• Working within a modern stack including Kotlin for Android, as well as Firebase, Firestore, and TypeScript/Node.js for cloud functions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android development – Mandatory.
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and a deep understanding of modern Android ecosystems – Mandatory.
• Proven experience with background services/workers and managing long-running features within large codebases – Mandatory.
• Deep knowledge of Android architecture patterns, state management, and responsive design – Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Firebase and Firestore – Highly Preferred.
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript for cloud-side logic – A significant advantage.
• A strong ownership mindset with the ability to navigate and improve complex, multi-year codebases.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
