Pharmaceutical Alliance Manager - Biotech Company in central Israel

Role Purpose

The Pharmaceutical Alliance Manager is responsible for driving the successful execution of strategic collaborations with external pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners. The role ensures that alliances operate efficiently, remain aligned with strategic objectives, and deliver expected value throughout their lifecycle. Acting as a central coordination point, the Alliance Manager enables effective governance, cross-functional collaboration, and issue resolution across multiple ongoing partnerships.

In parallel, this role maintains active engagement with physicians and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to gain insights into current and emerging therapeutic areas and to support patient awareness and enrollment efforts for future clinical studies.

Key Responsibilities

Alliance & Partnership Execution

• Lead and oversee multiple high-impact strategic alliances, ensuring alignment between internal objectives and partner expectations.
• Establish and manage joint governance structures, including steering and operational committees, to support effective collaboration and decision-making.
• Serve as the primary interface with external partners, maintaining strong working relationships and clear communication channels.
• Translate contractual agreements into practical execution plans and ensure internal stakeholders understand commitments, responsibilities, and timelines.
• Track alliance progress against defined objectives, milestones, and performance indicators, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and lead regular partnership reviews, addressing progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate timely resolution of operational, scientific, or strategic issues that may impact alliance performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate internal activities across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and Supply Chain functions to ensure consistent and compliant execution of alliance commitments.
• Support onboarding and operational integration of new collaborations following deal completion.
• Provide senior management with clear visibility into alliance status, risks, and value creation opportunities.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of alliance management processes, tools, and best practices.

Medical & Scientific Engagement

• Build and maintain professional relationships with physicians and key opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic areas.
• Engage with the medical community to understand unmet needs, treatment practices, and emerging trends that may inform pipeline strategy.
• Support patient awareness and enrollment activities for future clinical studies through appropriate physician engagement, in collaboration with internal Clinical and Medical teams and in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards.

Experience & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (BA or equivalent) in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related discipline.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in alliance management, business development, pharmaceutical sales, medical representative roles, or a related position within the life sciences industry.
