We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Team Leader to join our team in Modi'in. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers in the design and development of complex and precise mechanical systems for the optical field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of at least 5 mechanical engineers on 2 sites.
- Oversee the design of intricate and high-precision mechanical systems.
- Coordinate between optical design, mechanical design, and structural/thermal analysis.
- Develop and manage the team's work plans, track progress, and address schedule gaps.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Manage procurement and technical communication with manufacturing workshops.
- Foster a positive and productive team atmosphere while meeting tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from leading university with at least 10 years of experience in the optical or opto-mechanical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in managing a team of at least 5 engineers.
- Expertise in producing manufacturing drawings with a strong command of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficiency in PDM and SolidWorks (SW).
- Experience with analytical tools for thermal analysis, structural analysis, and mechanical stability.
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
