DevOps Team Lead – On-Prem Kubernetes | Deep-Tech Environment

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Team Lead to join a cutting-edge deep-tech environment where software meets hardware.

This role is ideal for engineers with a strong infrastructure mindset who enjoy working close to production systems, physical environments, and large-scale compute platforms.

You will lead a small DevOps team while remaining deeply involved technically, owning critical production infrastructure and shaping the platform that powers advanced computing systems.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor a small DevOps team (4–5 engineers)
• Take ownership of production infrastructure and platform reliability
• Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes clusters in On-Prem / Private Cloud environments
• Manage and optimize infrastructure running on physical servers and data center environments
• Drive automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Work closely with R&D, architecture, and operations teams to support high-performance, large-scale systems
• Maintain a strong hands-on contribution (technical leadership, troubleshooting, design)

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of DevOps / Infrastructure experience
• Proven experience leading a DevOps or platform team
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Experience working in On-Prem, Private Cloud, Bare-Metal, or Data Center environments
• Solid Linux and networking fundamentals
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code
• Scripting experience (Python / Bash or similar)
• A production-ownership mindset and strong troubleshooting skills

Nice to have

• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Experience with service mesh, Helm, or GitOps tools
• Background in infrastructure-heavy, hardware-oriented, or high-performance environments
