Job Description
We’re looking for an Engineering Group Manager to lead our core group (Backend & Data). The role manages 3-5 development teams, spanning backend and data engineering.
This leader will own the vision, execution, and scaling of the data and backend platforms that scan large cloud environments and turn them into reliable, actionable insights for our customers’ cloud cost Efficiency journey.
Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams (including TLs), hiring, and performance development.
10+ years in backend engineering; 4+ years in data/platform engineering.
Strong hands-on background in distributed systems, scalable data pipelines, and warehousing.
Proficiency in SQL and modern transformation tools (e.g., dbt).
Experience with Snowflake (or similar), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Tech stack familiarity: Go, Temporal, dbt, Snowflake, AWS, Kubernetes.
Lead multiple teams building large-scale, distributed cloud data collection and processing systems.
Own architecture and roadmap for robust, scalable backend + data infrastructure, pipelines, and warehouse layers.
Drive high-quality delivery across teams: planning, execution, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment.
Build and scale the org: hire, coach TLs/engineers, set culture, enable career growth.
Ensure reliability, observability, and data quality across end-to-end platforms.
