Job Description

Pendo is an American technology company, founded in 2013, specializing in user experience (UX) analytics and digital product optimization, including apps and websites.

The company has developed a SaaS platform that enables organizations to collect and analyze data on user interactions with their digital products, improving engagement, product success, and user retention.

The SRE team at Pendo is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure—from development to production environments.

The team works closely with development and product teams to ensure reliability, performance, and operational efficiency at scale.

The infrastructure is based on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and integrates various Google Cloud services, including:

Memorystore, Cloud Datastore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and Vertex AI, alongside external services such as Amazon SES.

In the production environment, the team supports systems that process over 15 billion events per day, operating under strict information security standards, including SOC 2.

Responsibilities

• Writing Infrastructure-as-Code for automating setup, deployment, scaling, and monitoring
• Developing code with a focus on stability, resilience, and scalability
• Defining and monitoring services using SLIs and SLOs
• Troubleshooting production incidents and implementing mechanisms to prevent recurrence
• Reducing manual processes through automation
• Managing capacity and continuously monitoring performance
• Participating in on-call rotations

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in SRE / DevOps or a similar role
• Experience working with cloud infrastructures (GCP / AWS / Azure). Experience with On-Prem environments can also be considered if there is proven expertise in automation, monitoring, and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Development experience in Go or Python
• Understanding of complex systems and failure scenarios
• Ability to write technical documentation in English
• Analytical thinking around performance, costs, and operational metrics
• Academic degree is not required
• Advantage: experience with Kubernetes
