Ormat Allied is Hiring a Project Engineer

Ormat Allied, a newly established company founded by two leading energy companies, is expanding its team.

This is a unique opportunity to join from the ground up and take part in high-impact projects at the forefront of energy storage, power generation, and solar systems, from design through execution and commissioning.

The Role:

As a Project Engineer at Ormat Allied, you will lead engineering aspects of complex energy projects and work closely with top-tier partners in Israel and abroad.

🔹 Engineering project management, including electrical system design for energy storage facilities, power plants, and solar systems.

🔹 Professional oversight of external design offices and consulting engineers.

🔹 Direct work with unique suppliers and manufacturers in Israel and internationally - defining requirements, evaluating technological solutions, and supporting procurement processes.

🔹 Preparation of technical specifications for electrical equipment and systems.

🔹 Supervision of contractors and on-site construction phases.

🔹 Performing engineering calculations (short-circuit currents, power transformers, cables, etc.) and designing electrical protection schemes.

🔹 Supporting testing, commissioning, and start-up of energy storage systems, power plants, and substations.

🔹 Providing ongoing engineering support and troubleshooting during operational phases.

Requirements

🔹 B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Power / Strong Current) - Required

🔹Licensed Electrical Engineer - Required

🔹 At least 5 years of experience in power system design, including high-voltage systems

Advantages:

🔹 Experience in energy companies

🔹 Experience in energy storage and solar system design, including PVSYST

🔹 Experience writing specifications for HV/LV switchgear, power transformers, and motors

🔹 Knowledge of electrical protection systems
