Program Assistant - IGNITE International Summer Program for High School Students

📍 Technion – Israel Institute of Technology

The Technion is seeking a motivated, responsible, and highly organized Program Assistant to support the planning and delivery of IGNITE, a new international summer program for high school students.

⚠️ Please note: This is not a student position.

Position Overview

• Duration: Approximately 5 months
• Workload:
• March–June: 4 hours per day, 3 days per week
• July: Full-time (and beyond), including daily presence with students
• Start Date: March 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of the summer program
• Manage administrative and logistical tasks, coordinate daily schedules, activities, and logistics
• Work closely with the Program Manager, faculty members, and administrative teams
• Lead and manage a team of youth counselors
• Be present with students and live on the Technion campus throughout the program
• Take overall responsibility for smooth day-to-day program operations during July

Requirements & Qualifications

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English is required; Hebrew and additional languages are an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high school students, faculty, and staff
• High level of responsibility, independence, and strong organizational skills
• Excellent command of Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Full availability for intensive work during July, including trips and overnight stays across Israel

Advantages

• Previous experience living in Europe or North America and strong intercultural awareness
• Experience working with youth, students, or international programs
• Prior experience in academic, summer camp, or international program settings
• Experience as a camp counselor or in youth training roles
• Familiarity with the Technion environment
