Creative Project Manager (Web Design)
Part-time, Contract
Remote (U.S. or Israel-based candidates welcome)
Awaken Studio is an Israel-based boutique web design agency focused on building strategic, high-quality websites for service-based businesses, organizations, startups, and personal brands. We’re a team of designers and strategists united by one belief: every business deserves a website that truly works.
This is a remote, part-time, project-based contractor role. It requires excellent written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and comfort working across time zones with primarily U.S.- and Israel-based clients.
About the Role
The Creative Project Manager at Awaken Studio plays a critical role in ensuring our website projects run smoothly, stay aligned with the founder’s vision, and deliver a polished, high-quality client experience from kickoff through launch.
This role sits at the intersection of client communication, creative coordination, and quality control. You are the day-to-day point person for clients and our team, translating strategic and design direction into clear execution while protecting timelines, scope, and quality.
The founder (Karen) leads all strategy and design direction. Your role is to own the execution layer: keeping projects organized, catching issues early, and ensuring work is thoroughly reviewed before it reaches the founder.
In addition, you will serve as the primary point person for our ongoing monthly support plan for past clients.
This is a hands-on, design-literate project management role. It is not an administrative or purely operational position.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project management
New clients:
Own website projects from kickoff through launch and close-out. Build and maintain clear schedules, anticipate bottlenecks, and adjust plans as priorities or scope evolve.
Ongoing clients:
Manage updates and small requests for past clients who are on a monthly support plan, applying the same level of care, organization, and quality control as full website projects.
Resource coordination:
Coordinate designers, copywriters, and developers across projects. Manage capacity across internal team members and freelancers, knowing who’s available, who’s overloaded, and how to staff projects effectively.
Creative quality control:
Review copy, design, and development work before it reaches the founder or the client. This isn’t box-checking — it’s ensuring the work aligns with the strategy and meets our quality bar across design, content, and build.
Client communication:
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for clients. Set expectations, translate feedback into clear direction, manage approvals, and keep clients informed and confident throughout the process.
Launch & wrap-up:
Coordinate staging reviews, QA, final approvals, and launches. Manage revisions through sign-off and close projects cleanly and professionally.
Project tracking & systems:
Keep timelines and tasks up to date in Monday.com so nothing falls through the cracks. Continually improve how projects are run within the platform.
Who This Role Is For
- You have experience managing website or digital design projects in a creative agency or studio environment. Familiarity with Figma, Wix/Wix Studio (big plus!)
- You’ve worked as a creative yourself at some point (designer, copywriter, content creator, or similar), so you understand the work because you’ve done it.
- You have hands-on experience with Monday.com (strongly preferred) or a similar project management tool such as Asana or ClickUp.
- You’re highly detail-oriented — not as a personality trait, but as a daily practice. You consistently catch issues others miss.
- You’re comfortable working with evolving tools and processes, including AI, and are curious about how they can support and improve creative work.
