Software Development Team Lead - 236859

A leading technology company in Holon is seeking for a Development Team Leader with experience in COBOL, C++, or Java.

The role involves leading a team responsible for the development and maintenance of mission-critical core systems within a complex and stable financial environment. This is a full managerial role, focused on team leadership, defining technological strategy, and managing the entire software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software developers and system engineers
• Manage end-to-end development processes: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance
• Ensure code quality and engineering standards (code reviews, design reviews)
• Handle complex production issues, root-cause analysis, and ensure high system availability and stability
• Work in a sensitive, high-availability, mission-critical environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing software development teams – mandatory
• Experience with COBOL, C++, or Java in a Windows environment - mandatory
• Proven experience working with core systems in financial organizations
• Experience developing or leading development of mission-critical core systems – mandatory
• Experience with Git version control and Agile methodologies
• Strong business understanding and ability to work under pressure
• High availability and willingness to work outside regular hours when required
• Experience with Micro Focus COBOL in a Windows environment – a significant advantage
