Role Description

We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join our team in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. This is a hybrid role, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. The iOS Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement app features, and ensure smooth app functionality and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, scalable code, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and staying updated on emerging trends and technologies within iOS development.

Responsibilities:

Development & Process Management

• Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications from concept to App Store release and continuous improvement.
• Own features end-to-end: requirements clarification, technical design, implementation, testing, release, monitoring, and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team (Product, UX, Frontend, Backend, DevOps) to deliver complete solutions.
• Work with GitHub, DevOps, and Jira for source control, CI/CD, and project tracking.

Customer-Facing Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions that directly impact customer workflows and outcomes, with a strong focus on usability and reliability.
• Participate in customer-facing sessions (as needed) to understand requirements, clarify constraints, and translate needs into technical plans.
• Support releases and production issues: triage, root-cause analysis, and fast remediation while keeping stakeholders informed.
• Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to Product and customer stakeholders, balancing scope, timelines, and quality.

Qualifications

Must have

• 5+ years of experience developing native iOS applications.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Solid understanding of iOS fundamentals: concurrency/multithreading, persistent storage, performance optimization, memory management.
• Experience with modern iOS architectures and design patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Familiarity with mobile build, signing, and distribution processes (App Store, TestFlight, CI/CD).
• Strong programming foundations: data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with testing (unit/UI), code quality, and long-term maintainability practices.

Nice to have

• BSc in Computer Science (or similar).
• Ability to self-learn quickly and adopt new technologies/tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain the “big picture” clearly.
• Familiarity with best practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern backend/service concepts.
