Mechanical Design Engineer – Electronic Packaging

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer – Electronic Packaging

to join the Missile and Space Systems Division.

The position includes:

• Leading mechanical design projects for electronic enclosures, including specification definition, mechanical ICDs, and cooling concepts

• Mechanical design of PCBs and PCB assemblies using the IDF method

• Leading development projects from cost estimation through delivery to the customer, including subcontractor management and design reviews

• Reading and analyzing drawings and reports related to dynamic, thermal, and structural analyses, mechanical integration, and hardware change management

• Responsibility for product development and integration from requirements and costing through prototype manufacturing and readiness for serial production

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design of electronic enclosures and electronic packaging

• Master’s degree – an advantage

• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 standards – an advantage

• Knowledge of various manufacturing technologies, including machining, casting, and sheet metal forming – an advantage

• Experience in requirements development, documentation, and control for multidisciplinary systems – an advantage

• Ability to write technical specifications and manage subcontractors – an advantage

• Experience with RF component integration and familiarity with antenna standards – an advantage

• Experience working with NX software – an advantage

• Familiarity with NPI development processes
