Infrastructure Engineer

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer for a large public organization

Role Description

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of the organization’s IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment (On-Prem & Cloud).

The role is hands-on and includes working with system infrastructure, networking, storage, virtualization, information security, and cloud technologies, as well as handling complex incidents and collaborating with support and development teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a System & Network Engineer –

• Strong hands-on experience managing Windows and Linux servers, including upgrades and Level 2/3 user support

• Proven experience operating and maintaining enterprise networking infrastructure, including Juniper and Cisco switches, routers, and Check Point firewalls

• Experience managing storage systems, with a strong focus on NetApp (LUN configuration, storage management, SAN/NAS protocols)

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, especially Veeam

• Experience working with monitoring and control systems, with an emphasis on SolarWinds
