Head of Product

One of our clients, a cutting-edge startup developing autonomous drone-based systems for operational and logistics environments, is looking to hire a Head of Product.

The company builds complex, real-time software platforms that control fleets of autonomous drones interacting with the physical world. While the company operates in the drone space, the core technological challenge lies in building and scaling the end-to-end autonomous delivery infrastructure – including real-time fleet management, airspace coordination, system reliability, data-driven decision making, and seamless integration with external logistics and ordering systems.

This requires top-tier product leadership with strong engineering intuition and the ability to lead deeply technical, system-level product development.

This is a senior, high-impact role ideal for candidates with a background in software development who want to shape the future of autonomous aerial systems. This is not a marketing, business, or GTM-oriented role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the product strategy and execution of complex technological systems.
• Manage a team of technical product managers, setting high standards for execution and specification.
• Work closely with engineering and development leads to plan and deliver cross-functional system projects.
• Oversee the development of backend systems, infrastructure, APIs, data, and system-wide integrations.
• Take responsibility for scalability, reliability, performance, and user experience, with a broad technical perspective.
• Define systems that combine information, content, inventory, pricing, scheduling, and third-party integrations.

Requirements:

• Proven managerial experience leading and mentoring teams of Product Managers.
• Proven background in software development – mandatory (hands-on coding not required, but deep technical understanding is essential).
• Significant experience as a senior technical product manager in complex software environments.
• Hands-on collaboration with development teams and involvement in engineering decision-making.
• Familiarity with system architecture, APIs, data models, infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field – or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building or leading products for complex, real-time operational systems, where software decisions directly impact execution, timing, and resource utilization.
• Proven experience with scheduling, optimization, or resource-allocation problems in large-scale software platforms.

Strong Advantage:

• Development experience in one or more of the following domains:
• Autonomous Systems
• Robotics
• Drones / UAVs
• Embedded Systems
• Software infrastructure for real-world physical products
• Experience with regulated environments or products that combine hardware and software
• Experience with critical, real-time operational systems
