A leading airline is seeking a Head of Cabin Crew (Chief Cabin Crew) to manage and lead a large Cabin Crew department comprising over 100 employees, including indirect management of team managers.
The role carries overall strategic and managerial responsibility for the Cabin Crew function, ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and operational excellence, in full compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Description
- Overall management of the Cabin Crew department, including management of managers (2 Team Leaders) and leadership of large-scale operational teams.
- Development, implementation, and oversight of professional policies in the areas of in-flight safety, service, and operations.
- End-to-end responsibility for crew qualifications, certifications, recurrent training, and professional standards.
- Leadership of organizational development processes within the department, including training, mentoring, standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Oversight and monitoring of compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Managerial decision-making in human resources matters, including performance evaluations, disciplinary processes, promotions, and terminations.
- Strategic interface management with internal stakeholders: Human Resources, Safety, Training, Operations, Legal, and IT.
- Representation of the Cabin Crew function before company management, regulatory authorities, and external service providers.
- Conducting line checks and in-flight evaluations for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven managerial experience of at least 5 years, including management of large teams and/or management of managers,
- or at least 5 years of experience as a Senior Cabin Crew member in leadership and managerial roles.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, guiding, and managing large-scale human organizations.
- Full proficiency in English – spoken, written, and reading.
- High proficiency in computer systems and digital crew management tools.
- Medical fitness in accordance with cabin crew requirements and a clean criminal record.
Significant Advantage
- Experience working in an aviation safety and regulatory environment.
- Experience working with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and/or an international aviation regulator.
- Experience leading training, mentoring, certification, or examination programs
- (Line Trainer / In-Flight Examiner).
- Experience managing crew qualifications, certifications, and recurrent training.
- In-depth knowledge of in-flight safety, emergency, service, and operational procedures.
- Experience conducting line checks, performance evaluations, and professional feedback.
- Previous experience managing Cabin Crew teams.
