Check Point Research is looking for a unique individual to lead our cutting-edge vulnerability research team.
Key Responsibilities
The vulnerability research team leader is a key component in the bleeding-edge and innovative research done at Check Point Research.
The team leader manages a team of world-class security researchers dealing with vulnerability research of high and low-level platforms, tool development, fuzzing frameworks, in-the-wild exploits analysis, patch diffing, and innovative hacking projects.
The position requires in-depth experience with versatile fields in vulnerability research, such as low-level OS, embedded, networking, and web applications.
The research in the team is oriented towards external publication through conference talks and media outreaches along with knowledge sharing and improvement guidance for the entire Check Point products line based on the team’s extensive knowledge and experience.
The job requires conjuring up new research ideas and methods, converting research findings into impact on products and publications, while training and mentoring a team of super talented researchers.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in the cyber research field (published exploits and write-ups, research tools, etc..) including reverse-engineering, exploiting memory-corruption bugs and penetration testing of web and IT frameworks.
- The candidate should have proven experience in team management, preferably management of research teams.
- The candidate should also have technical writing abilities with a creative mind.
Organized, creative thinker, multi-tasker with high-energy work ethic. Ability and willingness to deal with some of the hardest challenges in the cyber security domain.
The job also requires soft-skills in order to be able to instrument through the various entities in the process of translating the research findings into results.
