Postdoctoral Researcher

We are happy to announce two open positions in our research lab:

1.    Postdoctoral for a study on nanomaterial-based platforms for the generation of CAR-T cells used in cancer immunotherapy.

Core academic qualifications:

• PhD in a relevant field: immunology, cell biology, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or molecular biology

• Strong publication record

Essential technical skills:

• Primary immune cell work: human T-cell isolation, activation, and expansion; PBMC handling

• CAR-T engineering: viral transduction (lentivirus/retrovirus)

• Molecular biology: plasmid cloning, PCR, qPCR, Western blot, flow-based expression analysis

• Flow cytometry: multicolor panels, phenotyping (CD4/CD8, memory subsets, exhaustion markers)

• Functional assays: cytotoxicity assays (e.g., killing assays), cytokine secretion (ELISA, intracellular staining), proliferation and activation readouts

• In vivo assays: mouse tumor models, CAR-T efficacy or persistence studies

2.    PhD candidate for a study of nanomaterial-based platforms for the generation of CAR-T cells.

Core academic qualifications:

• M.Sc. in materials engineering, biomaterials, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, or biophysics

• Ability to conduct research in a highly interdisciplinary environment

Preferred skills:

• Nanotechnology: nanofabrication, nanoscale microscopy, self-assembly, nanoparticle synthesis

• Cell biology: cell culture, biological microscopy, flow cytometry

• Surface science: surface functionalization, bioconjugation techniques
