Research And Development Manager

We’re hiring an R&D Manager to lead a small, high impact engineering team building cyber intelligence products powered by large scale, distributed data. This role combines people leadership with hands on ownership across big data, applied ML, and agentic AI systems that automate complex investigation and decision workflows.

What you’ll do:

🔹Lead and grow a small R&D team, set goals, coach engineers, and own delivery quality.

🔹Drive architecture and implementation of large scale data pipelines and services processing cyber telemetry.

🔹Build and operationalize ML capabilities end to end (features, training, deployment, monitoring).

🔹Design AI agent workflows that automate multi step analysis and decisioning with the right guardrails and observability.

🔹Partner with Product and Research to turn intelligence needs into scalable, measurable systems.

What we’re looking for:

🔹3+ years leading an R&D / engineering team with clear ownership of outcomes.

🔹Strong hands on AWS experience in production.

🔹Production experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.

🔹Great communication skills and ability to align stakeholders in a fast moving startup.

Nice to have:

🔹Databricks, React, Java backend, experience in data science / applied ML, and building AI agent / LLM based workflows in production.
