System Engineer for Autonomous Systems

Job Description:

A defense company located in southern Israel, specializing in the development of advanced systems, is seeking a System Engineer to lead the development of complex autonomous System-of-Systems solutions.

The role involves leading the development and validation of a multi-sensor system and command-and-control (C2) systems, starting from solution definition and architecture, through detailed design, development, integration, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead system engineering processes for complex autonomous systems
• Define system-level and sub-system requirements
• Write technical specifications, system requirement documents, and design documents
• Analyze requirements and define system processes, logic, and interfaces between sub-systems
• Provide guidance and ongoing oversight of subcontractors
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams in a matrix environment
• Manage and lead design reviews and management reviews
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and challenging environment

Requirements:

• B.Sc. from a recognized academic institution in an engineering discipline – mandatory
• Proven experience in system engineering and/or system definition – mandatory
• Strong system-level, multidisciplinary perspective – mandatory
• High verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and drive cross-functional interfaces
• High-level English proficiency
