Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Freelance)

We are looking for a full-time freelance Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build scalable backend and frontend features for our enterprise platform. This role requires strong technical expertise across the stack, a deep understanding of modern software engineering practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with product and design teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and passionate about delivering high quality, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, including APIs, microservices, and data processing components.
• Build and optimize frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver high performance, intuitive user experiences.
• Lead architectural discussions to define technical approaches, long term system design, and engineering strategy.
• Mentor junior and mid level engineers, offering guidance through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
• Collaborate cross functionally with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into engineering solutions.
• Ensure code quality through testing, automation, documentation, and best coding practices.
• Improve performance, security, and reliability across backend and frontend systems.
• Participate actively in DevOps workflows, including CI/CD, cloud deployments, monitoring, and handling production incidents.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Proficiency in backend languages, such as Java, Node.js, Python, or similar.
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks, including React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD (Terraform), microservices and Docker.
• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs, including LLMs, embeddings, and vector based workflows.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Experience with agentic system, a strong advantage.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Familiarity with event driven architectures and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
• Experience with AI/ML model fine tuning, vector databases, or embedding pipelines.
• Background in security engineering, secure development, or threat modeling.
• Experience with performance load testing tools.
• Ability to lead technical discovery and architectural planning efforts.
• Experience with LangChain.
