About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, deeply technical CTO to serve as the architectural and technical co-founder. You will define the technical vision and help create a new class of silicon construction technology spanning micro-architecture, verification, and physical awareness.

You will partner with the CEO to translate customer pain points into platform features that dramatically reduce Time-to-Market (TTM).

This is a role for a builder. You should still love to design, architect, and debug systems personally, while shaping the abstractions and methodologies that will guide how teams build silicon for years to come.

Responsibilities

• Drive Methodology Innovation: Define a new hardware construction paradigm that moves beyond signal-level RTL toward high-level architectural intent

• Own the Platform Architecture: Lead the development of the design-entry environment, internal platform abstractions, and "correct-by-construction" IP generators

• Architect the AI Feedback Loop: Define how AI-driven predictive PPA (Power, Performance, Area) prediction integrates into the design workflow to provide real-time physical feedback

• Be the Technical Face of the Company: Engage with design partners, EDA vendors, and investors; lead technical diligence and represent dBlox in deep-tech forums

• Build the Team: Recruit and mentor a world-class team of engineers spanning architecture, verification, compilers, and silicon design

Qualifications

Deep Silicon Expertise

• Proven track record of shipping complex silicon (SoC, IP, or subsystems) to market
• Strong background in micro-architecture, RTL design, and functional verification

System-Level Thinking

• Ability to define clean abstractions that bridge high-level architecture and physical implementation
• Experience building platforms, frameworks, or large internal toolchains
• A strong, informed point of view on where today’s silicon design flows fall short and how to evolve them

Hands-On Builder

• Comfortable writing code, reviewing designs, and debugging complex flows
• Willing to work across the stack, from uArch to infrastructure

Strong Advantages

• Experience in both Tier-1 semiconductor firms and early-stage startups
• Exposure to LLM/ML applications for physical design or systems optimization
• Experience across multiple process nodes and foundry flows
• Familiarity with Hardware Construction Languages like Chisel, ROHD, or similar environments

This is not a role to “run engineering”. This is a role to define how silicon gets built for the next decade.
