Backend Team Leader

A high-profile AI & Analytics startup that was recently acquired by a leading global corporation. The company develops a cutting-edge AI platform that utilizes advanced predictive algorithms for the travel industry, offering dynamic optimization and smart consumer recommendations.

Founded by elite technology veterans, the company is a global leader in its field, serving the world's largest travel agencies and management firms.

Following the acquisition, the company is entering a significant expansion phase.

Located in the Central District (adjacent to the train station), operating a hybrid model with two days per week from home.

Role Overview-

• Reporting directly to the VP R&D, leading a newly formed backend team of 3-5 engineers with significant growth potential.
• Building and scaling the team from the ground up, including immediate recruitment and mentoring.
• Maintaining a significant Hands-On presence in the development of a complex, AI-driven SaaS platform.
• Designing and implementing high-scale backend services in Python to support sophisticated predictive models and real-time data processing.
• Taking full ownership of the technical roadmap, architecture, and delivery within a modern cloud ecosystem.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in a Team Lead or technical leadership role.
• Extensive experience in Backend development with proficiency in JVM-based languages (Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Clojure) plus at least one additional programming language.
• Proven experience with Python – a significant advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• B.Sc. in Computer Science (or a related technological field) or alumni of an elite military technology unit.
• Experience in building and scaling SaaS platforms, preferably within AI or data-intensive domains.
