Software Developer in Tests Engineer

Summary

The Software-Update QA team within Apple's Core OS organization is looking for a dedicated and inspired engineer to work on the quality. The team is responsible for validation and support of key features in the software update process across all of Apple’s products. Successful candidates will work hands-on, developing and accomplishing the automatic tests for validating the new features; Taking an active part in the highest quality deliveries to our customers.

Description

You will join a diverse team responsible for qualifying various aspects of Apple’s software updates. nnIn this role, you will work with the team to define and implement the automatic tests for new features, to ensure the best quality releases for all of Apple’s products. As well, you will also build the automation and infrastructure needed to support these tests, from the design phase through implementation, until successful execution.nnAs part of the QA team, you will be responsible to ensure the quality of our deliveries, identify the issues and bring them to a fast resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good understanding and proficiency in Pythonnn- minimum 2-3 years of QA experience, and a good understanding of testing concepts and methodologiesnn- Experience in UI testing automationnn- Ability to work independently and be proactive in task completionnn- BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related field
  
  

• Knowledge of C/C++, Swift, or Objective-C is an advantagenn- Experience with OS and File Systems is an advantagenn- Ability to define and implement Test Cases and Test Plansnn- Ability to support Engineering team with debugging and validation of software issues
