NVOX builds a technology-first, AI-driven diagnostic platform focused on ADHD.

We automate complex diagnostic workflows using data analysis, signal processing, and machine-generated clinical reports, with licensed psychologists providing oversight.

The platform is fully remote, built for scale, and already in active use.

We are expanding beyond ADHD into additional learning and cognitive domains.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly hands-on senior technical leader – a true Swiss-Army Engineer - who can operate across backend systems, DevOps, security, and compliance, and deliver production-ready infrastructure.

You’ll be part of the core leadership team, working closely with the founder to design, build, and scale mission-critical systems. This is a deeply hands-on role with real ownership and technical responsibility, not a purely managerial position.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, build, and operate production-grade AWS environments at scale, including Cognito, IAM, SQS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.

• Own HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance end to end, including system architecture, security controls, documentation, audits, and incident response.

• Design, build, deploy, and operate production-grade Python backend systems, including APIs, background workers, data pipelines, and long-running services.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, and integrate ML workflows into the delivery process.

• Secure APIs, internal services, and ML or model endpoints, and design and enforce role-based access control for sensitive data.

• Lead and mentor a small engineering team of approximately five engineers, while remaining deeply hands-on in the codebase.

• Own systems end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience building and operating production systems

• Deep expertise in Python backend development

• Proven experience designing, deploying, and running scalable systems on AWS

• Comfortable working across backend engineering, DevOps, MLOps, and security

• Strong architectural judgment for reliable, real-time, and data-intensive systems

• High standards for clean, testable, and maintainable code

• Experience leading and mentoring a small engineering team

• Bonus: open-source contributions or meaningful community involvement
