Our client is a global investment firm established for over 20 years, managing multi‑billion-dollar investments, operating from offices in the UK, Europe, the USA, APAC. The firm is now establishing a new office in Israel and seeking a hands-on IT professional to join it's global IT support department.
About the Role
As the first technology hire in Israel, the IT Specialist will act as the on‑site technology lead, providing white‑glove IT support to senior executives and traders in a fast‑paced trading floor environment, while also delivering remote support to global users. The role will set up and manage the Israel office’s IT infrastructure, including networking, cabling, hardware deployment, and meeting room technology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technology expert for senior executives and traders, providing local and remote IT support to ensure uninterrupted productivity, rapid issue resolution, and white‑glove service within strict 30‑minute SLA standards.
- Act as the escalation and focal point for complex technical issues, working closely with global IT teams to diagnose problems, resolve incidents, and implement long‑term solutions.
- Establish and manage the IT infrastructure for the new office, including networking, cabling, desktops, workstations, and meeting‑room technology, ensuring a fully functional and efficient environment.
- Maintain the local IT environment, overseeing hardware, software, licenses, and endpoints to ensure stable and secure operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery, installation, and maintenance of technology and office systems.
- Support enterprise user computing initiatives, perform root‑cause analysis of recurring issues, and drive continuous improvements in IT service delivery.
- Set up and manage technology and facilities to support trading‑floor operations and critical business functions.
Requirements
- minimum 3+ years of hands-on IT desktop support experience within a financial services environment (investment banking, hedge funds, asset management or similar).
- Experience supporting senior or executive users under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions.
- Experience supporting Bloomberg terminals and other market data applications in a trading environment.
- Strong technical expertise with Windows OS, Microsoft 365 and Office Suite administration.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS) and IT security principles.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, including hardware lifecycle, workstations, laptops/desktops, meeting room setups, and office IT systems.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, endpoint management, and ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and third-party service providers
- Experience with ITIL principles or disciplined, checklist-driven IT operations.
