VP HR

Role Definition: VP HR – Avgol

Reports to: CEO, Avgol

Scope: Global – approximately 950 employees, across five sites (USA, China, Russia, India, Dimona) and headquarters in Petach Tikva.

Role Summary

The VP HR holds full responsibility for leading Avgol’s global HR strategy and managing all HR domains across the organization worldwide. The role combines strategic partnership at the executive level with hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day HR operations within a complex, global environment. It includes matrix management of HR Managers at the various sites and direct leadership of the HR team at headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the global HR strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
• Provide guidance to senior leaders and act as a strategic business partner in organizational decision‑making.
• Manage global HR processes including recruitment, performance reviews, goal setting, bonuses, compensation and benefits, employee development, and succession planning.
• Oversee Talent Management activities such as identifying key talents, succession planning, and IDP processes.
• Build and reinforce a strong organizational culture, employee engagement, and internal communication practices.
• Work closely with the parent company while navigating complex interfaces and organizational sensitivities.
• Oversee internal communication strategy and execution.

·        Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and mentor a global team through both matrix and direct reporting structures.

Requirements

• 10+ years of HR experience, including global leadership roles and executive‑level involvement.
• Experience in industrial organizations – an advantage.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑organizational HR processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and strong communication abilities.
• Significant experience in recruitment, compensation & benefits, employee development, and workforce planning.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex business and organizational environment.
