Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Architect / Development Manger to take end-to-end responsibility for the platform architecture and act as the technical authority across internal and external development teams.

This role serves as the central technical interface between DeepSolar’s in-house engineers, algorithm teams, product, data intake teams, and an external development partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the Architecture: Define the standards across backend, frontend, cloud, and MLOps. Drive system design that scales with 10× data volume and business needs.
• Drive Business Impact: Align technology with company strategy. Partner with Product, Sales, and Finance on roadmap trade-offs, build-vs-buy decisions, and pricing architecture.
• Technical Authority & Quality Assurance: Serve as the technical authority for solutions developed by the external and internal engineering teams.
• Build & Inspire the Team: Attract, mentor, and retain top talent. Foster a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture.
• Push the Frontier: Lead innovation across PV analytics, including predictive degradation, weather-aware forecasting, real-time dashboards, and generative AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software architecture and system design for complex, data-driven platforms
• Proven experience working with external development teams or vendors
• Hands-on understanding of backend, frontend, cloud, and data-intensive systems
• Ability to review and validate code, designs, and data pipelines at a high professional level
• Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Structured, detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in renewable energy, AI/ML systems, or analytics platforms is an advantage
