aChord, Social Psychology for Social Change, is a unique academic–social organization that develops and applies cutting-edge knowledge in social psychology to promote equality, tolerance, and mutual respect among diverse groups in Israel and between Israeli society and its neighbors.

About the Role

The Public Arena Research Team at aChord leads innovative, data-driven research on key social and political issues in Israel, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, democratic values, and public legitimacy of minority political participation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Public Arena research team across all stages of research, including conceptual development, research design, timeline planning, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
• Oversee diverse research methodologies, including public opinion mapping, longitudinal studies, experiments, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and field and lab studies.
• Ensure high and consistent research standards across all projects.
• Mentor and professionally develop research and consulting staff in theoretical and methodological aspects of social and political psychology.
• Collaborate closely with consulting and development teams to integrate research findings into applied work.
• Lead research strategy and identify future research directions.
• Support measurement and evaluation processes within the department.
• Manage relationships with partners and clients.
• Write research proposals and grant applications.
• Stay up to date with new research methods and apply them in practice.

Requirements

• PhD, or near completion of a PhD, in Social or Political Psychology, Political Science, or another relevant social science field focused on intergroup relations in political contexts - A Must!
• Strong experience in quantitative research, required.
• Proven experience in applied research, required.
• Experience leading research projects, required.
• Experience managing research teams, an advantage.

Preferred Qualities

• Familiarity with Israel’s public, political, and media landscape.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and build partnerships.
• Proactive leadership and ability to independently drive complex processes.
• High organizational and execution skills.
• Ability to develop applied models and tools grounded in social and political psychology research.
• Intellectual curiosity and strong theoretical learning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

תחום המחקר במחלקה הציבורית במרכז אקורד מוביל מחקרים יישומיים ופורצי דרך בסוגיות חברתיות ופוליטיות מרכזיות, בהן הסכסוך הישראלי־פלסטיני, חיזוק ערכים דמוקרטיים ולגיטימציה פוליטית של קבוצות מיעוט.

אנו מחפשים מנהל/ת תחום מחקר למחלקה הציבורית, לתפקיד הכולל הובלה מקצועית וניהולית של צוות המחקר, פיתוח אסטרטגיית מחקר, וניהול פרויקטים מחקריים המייצרים תובנות מבוססות דאטה ליישום בשדה הציבורי.

תחומי אחריות עיקריים:

• הובלה וניהול מקצועי של צוותי המחקר לאורך כל שלבי המחקר.
• תכנון, הובלה וביצוע של מחקרים כמותניים ויישומיים במגוון מתודולוגיות.
• שמירה על סטנדרט מחקרי גבוה ועקבי.
• ליווי, חניכה ופיתוח מקצועי של הצוות המחקרי והייעוצי.
• עבודה משותפת עם צוותי הייעוץ והפיתוח ויצירת סנכרון בין מחקר לעשייה יישומית.
• פיתוח כיווני מחקר ואסטרטגיה מחקרית למחלקה.
• ליווי תהליכי מדידה והערכה.
• ניהול קשרי עבודה עם שותפים ולקוחות.
• כתיבת הצעות מחקר והגשות למענקים.
• היכרות עם שיטות מחקר חדשות ויישומן.

דרישות התפקיד:

• תואר שלישי, או לקראת סיום תואר שלישי, בפסיכולוגיה חברתית או פוליטית, מדע המדינה או תחום רלוונטי אחר במדעי החברה - חובה
• ניסיון במחקר כמותני, חובה.
• ניסיון במחקר יישומי, חובה.
• ניסיון בהובלת פרויקטי מחקר, חובה.
• ניסיון בניהול צוות, יתרון.

כישורים ותכונות נדרשים:

• היכרות עם השדה הציבורי, הפוליטי והתקשורתי בישראל.
• יחסי אנוש מצוינים ויכולת עבודה בצוותים רב־תחומיים.
• יוזמה, עצמאות ויכולת הובלת תהליכים.
• יכולות ארגוניות וביצועיות גבוהות.
• יכולת פיתוח מודלים וכלים יישומיים מבוססי מחקר.
• סקרנות ויכולת העמקה תיאורטית.
• יכולות מצוינות בהבעה בכתב ובעל פה.
