Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Caesarea for a Research and Development (R&D) Project Lead. The R&D Project Lead will be responsible for designing and managing innovative projects, from early feasibility stages, through development and validation, until commercial launch. This includes (among others) conducting research to develop new product families, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and goals are met. The role also includes performing laboratory experiments, analyzing data for product improvement, and preparing technical documentation to support product development.

Job Description

• Leading new product and process development projects from end to end, including design and development of company's products to comply with marketing and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborating with team members including engineers and technicians, responsible for product development processes from initial concept through validations into transfer to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading design and development of new bio-integrative orthopedic implants, including their instrumentation and packaging. Takes part in all product development phases.

• Leading design for manufacturing of medical devices and relevant manufacturing setups, definition and phrasing of testing/manufacturing/inspection work instructions as well as engineering documentation, development and overseeing validations and bench tests.

• Managing subcontractors and manufacturers.

Qualifications (Education, Skills, and Experience)

Required:

• B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with strong technical background

• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design and project management.

• Strong interpersonal skills, strong ownership aptitude, responsible and mature.

• Fluent in Solidworks CAD.

• Excellent technical writing skills (English and Hebrew).

• Hands on mechanical design, integration and verification of assemblies.

• Experience working under medical device quality system (ISO 13485 or similar).

• Team player, ability to communicate with other disciplines to solve problems.

Advantages:

• Experience with composite material production preferred.

• Knowledge in the realm of orthopedics.
