Avionics Modules Development Lead 236553

We are seeking an Avionics Modules Development Lead to manage and drive the development of complex, multidisciplinary defense systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Matrix leadership of engineering teams across hardware, software, mechanics, system engineering, simulators, testing, and cabling—both in‑house and with subcontractors.
• Leading end‑to‑end development and production of large‑scale, mission‑critical avionics modules.
• Managing design reviews throughout all development and production stages with internal and external stakeholders.
• Driving system integrations, testing processes, and implementation at customer sites.
• Working closely with internal customers, subcontractors, and cross‑functional teams.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering – must.
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering – advantage.
• 5+ years of hands‑on development or development leadership of complex hardware/software systems – must.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering methodologies – must.
• 3+ years managing large multidisciplinary engineering projects – advantage.
• Proven experience leading full product lifecycle from design to serial production – advantage.
• Experience working with customers, subcontractors, budgets, and work plans – must.
• High‑level Hebrew and English (technical reading/writing/conversation).
• Strong leadership, independence, collaboration skills, and ability to drive matrix teams.
• Willingness to work in multiple sites and extra hours if needed.
• Background in defense industry or technological military units – advantage.
• Israeli citizenship & valid driver’s license – must.
• Security clearance Level 1 – advantage.

Preferred Background:

Candidates with experience leading complex, large‑scale multidisciplinary systems (not card-level designers), such as project officers, project leads, system engineers with development background, or product/project managers with strong engineering leadership.
