An international high-tech company is looking for an Automation and Software Testing Engineer to join an advanced software testing team that works with development-level standards and methodologies.

About the role

This is a highly technical role within a software testing team, focused on code-based testing of a complex software system.

The team is not a development team, but it works with development-like workflows, methodologies, and depth, with a strong emphasis on writing code, engineering thinking, and system-level understanding.

The role involves full ownership of testing activities, from understanding new features and designing test plans, to writing automated tests and validating system behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Design and write test plans for complex software features
• Develop and maintain automated tests and test code using Python and C/C++
• Test software features and system behavior against requirements and specifications
• Work closely with software development teams worldwide to understand new features and translate them into effective test coverage
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and perform debugging
• Document, track, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues
• Continuously improve test coverage, code quality, and test infrastructure
• Work on complex software systems and advanced features, including AI-related components

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing test plans and analyzing software features
• 3+ years of experience developing automated or code-based tests using C/C++ or Python
• Strong programming background and ability to work with complex codebases
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and processes
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps

Nice to have

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience testing complex software systems or simulators
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
