Deep Learning Leader

A technology company develops innovative solutions for complex systems and is seeking a Deep Learning leader. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for a senior expert who deeply understands modern deep learning architectures and is capable of building proprietary.

The role combines people leadership, architectural ownership, and close collaboration with product, data, engineering, and field teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of deep learning and algorithm engineers.
• Own the end-to-end deep learning architecture from research and design to production deployment.
• Define algorithmic roadmaps and technical priorities aligned with product and business goals.
• Drive the development of proprietary deep learning infrastructure, including: Data representations and labeling strategies, training and experimentation pipelines, model evaluation, versioning, and deployment flows.
• Work in a fully Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and iterative delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product, system, hardware, data, and field application teams.
• Manage technical collaborations with external technology partners when relevant.

Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in deep learning and algorithm development using Python-based frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Proven deep understanding of modern deep learning architectures, including the ability to: Modify and design model backbones, heads, loss functions, and training strategies, reason about accuracy, robustness, latency, and scalability tradeoffs.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams or complex algorithmic projects.
• Experience delivering production-grade ML algorithms to real customers.
• Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a hands-on leadership mindset, demonstrating strong technical ownership and the ability to lead across multidisciplinary teams.
